The "Florence" Wall Light from our 'Jewel' recycled plastics collection is a shining example of Spark & Bell's continued dedication to transforming plastic waste into beautiful, functional pieces. Obsolete CD cases are rescued from landfill, chipped and heat-moulded  into a uniquely rippled shade, all in-house in our Brighton workshop. This eco-friendly innovation comes in two stunning finishes: Onyx and Oyster.

The Onyx finish is a striking combination of clear plastic with embedded black chips, creating a boldly contrasting effect when illuminated. The Oyster provides a softer, more delicate appearance with white chips dispersed through a more opaque opalescent material. Both options highlight the intricacies of the recycled materials, with just a hint of their previous form, resulting in a design statement and a conversation starter.

The 12cm matte opal glass shade diffuses light into a gentle glow and appears to float as at the centre of the 28cm shade.  The Oyster version in particular resembles a glowing pearl in a shell.

The "Florence" was a crowd favourite at Clerkenwell Design Week 2024, where its blend of eco-conscious craftsmanship and contemporary design captured the imagination of design enthusiasts asking, 'what is that material?' and 'can I touch it?'.
