The "Florence" pendant light from our 'Jewel' recycled plastics collection is a shining example of our continued dedication to transforming plastic waste into beautiful, functional pieces. Obsolete CD cases are rescued from landfill, chipped and heat-moulded into a uniquely rippled shade, all in-house in our Brighton workshop. This eco-friendly innovation comes in two lustrous finishes: Onyx and Oyster.
The Onyx finish is a striking combination of clear plastic with embedded black chips, creating a boldly contrasting effect when illuminated. The Oyster provides a softer, more delicate appearance with white chips dispersed through a more opaque opalescent material.
As a result of the recycling process, the underside of the 28cm shade has a brilliant glossy finish and the top is more matte satin. The E27 lamp holder is available in our full range of metal finishes, and suspended from your choice of fabric cable, which comes with one metre included, but you can customise to any length with additional cable.
The "Florence" was a crowd favourite at Clerkenwell Design Week 2024, where its blend of eco-conscious craftsmanship and contemporary design captured the imagination of design enthusiasts asking, 'what is that material?' and 'can I touch it?'.
